Technical question re bringing forward my second vaccine

I got a text from the NHS this morning saying I could bring forward my second vaccine. But when I went online to manage my appointment, the first thing I had to do was cancel my existing booking which is in 2 weeks. I'm loath to cancel if the next stage meant the dates available were past that. I tried phoning but got cut off due to the number of calls they were getting.

Has anyone got further than I did online?

I had that and I did cancel - and then got an earlier date. There should be earlier dates free if you just got a message.

119 told me that they'd have to cancel before rebooking too. There didn't seem to be a way round it.

That was a mistake. I cancelled the appointment which was a 20 min drive (sw London), and the only availability now is for places like Liverpool.

Ah, I timed out while I was googling the place names, and when it refreshed I got the option of my local Boots which is a 10 minute walk. Yay!

Try again in a few hours. That won't be the only options but the system gets very busy and they continue to release slots.
