Itching after AZ?

I’m very pro vaccine so this isn’t an anti AZ thread. I’m just interested to see if anyone’s had the same reaction that I had.

Had the usual night of shivers and then all fine, but about six days later I was very itchy (all over, not just left arm where had the vaccine) and coming up in hives wherever I itched. Went on for a few days, still itching more than usual now a couple of weeks later but no hives.

Anyone else?

I had the same with the Pfizer jab. This didn’t happen with my second jab though. I was told it was my immune systems way if responding to it

I was itchy with the first AZ jab, across both arms and my shoulders. Took a couple of weeks to go away but no itching with the second dose.

Yes!! I had this! After first az and second!

My friend has this. He’s seen a doctor but just been prescribed anti histamines. It started after the Astra Zeneca and it’s been three months now and he’s still itchy all over!

Happened to me too. Really itchy behind the backs of my knees and inside my thighs. Rash was like a heat rash but some anti-histamines and steroids sorted it out. A friend ended up in hospital as he came out in a rash all over his body and had low platelets as well. He's not sure whether to have the 2nd now,

Itchy chest, shoulders, neck, back and upper arms kicked in within a few hours of first AZ jab. Lasted less than 48 hours. Also raised temperature and general malaise.

Yes very itchy after and still itching 3 weeks later but have allergies, the rash has improved. Anti-histamines help though its just down both arms.

I had this about 4/5 days after my Moderna jab. Woke up in the night and found I'd been scratching myself silly.

Had a cold shower and went back to sleep. Fine the next morning and no problems since.
