Question about PCR tests

So if you've had covid recently, how soon after will it show negative on a PCR test? I'm reading a mixture of information online where it says it will show negative once the symptoms go and other websites where it mentions it will show positive for some months after you have had it. So does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance, just curious.

You can test positive for up to 90 days due to inactive fragments of the original infection being picked up
