As Boris has requested. I am.

@Sparechange

No I’ve got antibodies from when I had covid, I’ve been jabbed

The chances of me having it are so small, and the tests are so inaccurate, it can’t justify the cost of the tests

There is no cost they are free. Unless you are referring to the cost to the government?
RoseWineTime · 14/05/2021 19:02

Yes I already am.

Anotheruser02 · 14/05/2021 19:02

Yes I think they're a great thing.

Chloemol · 14/05/2021 19:04

Yes I already do

EvilOnion · 14/05/2021 19:07

Yes. I take a weekly PCR for work and a weekly LFT. Teen DS takes an LFT twice a week for school.

The government has already spent the money having tests produced and distributing them so not using them doesn't save anything.

LFT's aren't 100% but they're one of the few resources we have. It takes 30 seconds to do and a 5 minutes to register your result so it's not time consuming either.

Anyone with symptoms should be booking a PCR test and isolating until they know they're results.

megletthesecond · 14/05/2021 19:08

Yes. I've been doing them for approx 7 weeks. I have teens at secondary school.

Tana433 · 14/05/2021 19:08

No, i will get a test if i experience symptoms.

AbsoluteCasserole · 14/05/2021 19:09

No, they aren't accurate and I'm not going out anyway. All of my risk comes from schools.

indy2please · 14/05/2021 19:09

I am, and have been for months, but I don't think they are reliable

AbsoluteCasserole · 14/05/2021 19:10

I'll happily do a pcr and isolate if I get symptoms however.

KezzabellaB · 14/05/2021 19:10

I already do a PCR test at least three times a week and a further two LFTs a week as well. Have done for some time!

rolloverrosie · 14/05/2021 19:12

No because the rate of false positives alone will keep alive a psuedopandemic keeping us all nice and scared and compliant.

OhTheIronyOfItAll · 14/05/2021 19:13

Yes, I’m already doing them for work.

kowari · 14/05/2021 19:15

They are good for a couple of years though. If we use them could we have to order more, or have they already produced far too many?

rolloverrosie · 14/05/2021 19:15

@jumpbounce

All those saying 'Nope' I hope the same names don't appear giving off about the road map being postponed or even rolled back and their freedoms being snatched away Hmm
All those saying yes better be prepared for the hundreds of thousands of positives that will be produced by every person in the population taking tests. Which then gets us back in a lockdown because "oh look, it's spreading. Despite vaccines. It must be a variant!"

Why would you test when deaths are as low as they are? The best thing people can do to ensure June 21st happens is act normal and force normality.

bigvig · 14/05/2021 19:16

Nope, landfill, false positives, cost to the tax payer

anon12345678901 · 14/05/2021 19:16

Nope and neither will my child for school unless symptoms or close contact with a positive case.

AhaShakeHeartbreak12 · 14/05/2021 19:16

I am, I'm in an area where we've seen an increase of cases and then we variant.

I'm nhs and pregnant too so was already testing twice weekly (sometimes more as we seem to be catching every single bug in the world these past few weeks Sad)

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 14/05/2021 19:16

Have been for work for a while now anyway. We have to upload our biweekly results to a central employer register.

jumpbounce · 14/05/2021 19:17

If you get a positive LFD you have to PCR test to confirm and the rate of false positives is actually lower than the false negatives so false positives will not create a pandemic and restrictions. Restrictions will only be needed in case of rise in hospitalizations not cases. This just sounds like a mad conspiracy theory.
Principessa2070 · 14/05/2021 19:18

No, Boris Johnson can go fuck himself. He is responsible for the entire mess.

OwlIceCrem · 14/05/2021 19:18

I’ve been doing them for weeks for work. I don’t think I even have a gag reflex any more.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 14/05/2021 19:18

No. I've never taken a test in my life and won't unless it's to travel.

Bamburghdoodle · 14/05/2021 19:19

No. Absolutely not. I will if I have symptoms. The figures are increasingly misleading. I’d much rather the focus was on vaccination uptake and roll out. The number of cases doesn’t have the same meaning anymore. We are building immunity.

GappyValley · 14/05/2021 19:19

Restrictions will only be needed in case of rise in hospitalizations not cases.

Then what on EARTH if the point of the tests?
