Rescheduling second vaccine?

Has anyone done it? I’m due to have my next AZ in early/mid July. However I now have a very important work thing 2 days after that I need to be on form for. I had bad side affects after the first vaccine. I want to move my vaccine either a couple of days earlier or 4 days later but I can’t unless I cancel first. I’m worried that if I cancel I will lose my spot completely. Has anyone cancelled and rescheduled? Were there any problems?

I’m wondering the same as I want to bring my forward a week but I’m nervous to cancel as the location is very convenient and I don’t want to have to go miles away.

I had moderna so not sure if supplies will be less as they’ll Be up to the 20s by then.

You'll have to cancel first. As it's AZ it doesn't matter much if it goes later and you'll certainly find supply within a couple of weeks. I'd just cancel and see. Maybe late at night if you're very nervous about losing the original slot.

Does it not matter if it over 12 weeks then? I’m current booked for 11 weeks and 3 days so it is pretty tight!

The other thought I had was just turning up at the hub a few days earlier and trying to get in on the hoof? They were taking walk ins from over 40s when I had mine.

My daughter has had to change venue as she’s just moved house . Her first vaccination was at GP’s.

She phoned 119 who were very helpful and they booked her in to a vaccination site nearer her new house.

its also a week earlier at 11 weeks than the GP appt date.

My neighbours cancelled and rescheduled theirs.
They ended up getting the second jab at a different venue.

Im up in Scotland. I may need to reschedule second vaccination. My GP said they would allow this. However, if you don't turn up and don't inform them, you will go to the back of the queue. Seems fair enough to me.

I did hear that the trials suggested that if you had AZ you were less likely to get side effects on the second dose

The NHS cancelled mine and I rebooked and got same day as before, not a massive choice in dates though.

I now had to reschedule mine. I am now going to another venue, a bit further away, but I have got a date that keeps me within 11 weeks of having first vaccination.Only one thing, our local paper reported people having difficulty getting appointments BUT the puzzling thing is, the venues themselves said they had appointments available. This was in Scotland, so I do not know if there was a bit of a glitch or whats going on. I found it straightforward enough, it was getting a date to suit that was difficult.
