I booked for my dp this morning on the nhs site as he is 39 however i put in his email and tel. no but he hasn't received any confirmation. We've tried to go on and manage the booking but we can't get past a certain stage as it asks for your booking number which we haven't got. I assumes confirmation would come through instantly. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm now worried the booking hasn't gone through?
Thanks

When you finish the booking the booking ref comes up on screen - did you take a note of it?

ceeveebee · 13/05/2021 07:46

Hi - mine took a couple of days, and I’ve seen lots of posts on here saying the same - seems to be when they first open to a new age group the system gets a bit overwhelmed and it takes time to come through!

starlingsintheslipstream · 13/05/2021 07:47

Mine was like that and I was panicking. Seems a thing. I was able to go back through my internet history and get a screenshot of the page. It did come through in the end, albeit a couple of days later.

covetingthepreciousthings · 13/05/2021 07:47

This might sound obvious but you need to scroll right down to confirm it, I have a family member who didn't scroll right down as assumed it had booked when it hadn't. If you scroll right down you should then receive a booking ref on the next screen I believe. I'd try again.

This happened to us when the over 42s slots were released. We got the confirmation the following day, I imagine the system just gets overwhelmed. Should be fine.

I’ve still not got a text or email confirmation and my appointment was yesterday
I took a screen shot of the numbers just in case

Seeline · 13/05/2021 07:49

I never got one for my Mum, but it was fine.

Are you sure you finished booking - there is a final confirm button that is very easy to miss. The final screen should have said your booking details and the ref. No.

Seeline · 13/05/2021 07:50

You can ring 119 to confirm that you have made the booking - that's what my mum did.

Riddlediddle · 13/05/2021 07:50

Thsts reassuring thanks. I accidentally hit the clear page button once id booked so didn't see the booking ref and just assumed he would instantly receive confirmation like i had when i booked mine via swiftqueue.

I only booked mine the day before and didn't actually get confirmation text til after my first appointment.
I didn't need to give the booking reference number just my name.

Watercoloursky · 13/05/2021 08:56

My OH (42) never got a confirmation text or email, but he was given his first dose no problems yesterday Smile

This is what I did this morning as I’ve had the same thing. No email or text yet, but managed to go back and get a screenshot.
Rainbowsandstorms · 13/05/2021 09:07

I never got one but you will need your booking reference.

ceeveebee · 13/05/2021 10:31

Not necessarily- I didn’t need mine?

Cripesitsthegasman19 · 13/05/2021 13:42

I had the same. Just been for my jab and I was able to give my name and dob. I just asked them for my reference number so I have it for my second jab.
