4 Year Old Hacking Cough & Vulnerable DH

DS has a really horrid cough. No other symptoms yet. I've ordered him a test. DH has cancer and although he's had first jab it was only 12 days ago. His cancer diagnosis is relatively new so I don't know how how vulnerable it will make him to Covid. If that's what DS has. I assume he hasn't had the jab long enough for it to offer protection?

Easier said than done but try not to worry too much. There's all sorts of coughs and colds going round at the moment!

Try not to worry, it may not be Covid. You've ordered the test which is good. In the mean time can your DH isolate away from you and DS? Put him in a separate room, deliver meals to the door, use a separate bathroom?

Fingers crossed it’s another type of illness. There seems to be lots going around at the moment I ended up in A and E with my youngest last night who had breathing difficulties and I was told that all the standard ‘winter’ bugs seem to be circulating late due to lockdown. Quite a few children at my daughter’s school have been tested recently due to coughs and have come back m negative. In the meantime are you able to isolate your husband?

Sorry you're in this situation. Flowers

But just to also say that my DC has a really awful cough at the moment (much worse than they've had before) but had a negative test. Apparently it's going around the school.

Case people are very low at the moment so it's more likely to be something else.
