I'm 37 and am able to book via the NHS app, but it's only showing locations over 40 minutes away, I'll just keep checking as we have quite a few locally. But it's saying to me It's time to book when I enter my details :)

anon12345678901 · 17/05/2021 14:37

Oh shoot, I'm 36, 37 in a few months.. lol!

vcrees6 · 17/05/2021 14:41

Yes my husband! But the website had been updated to 38+ several days by the time his appointment rolled around!

Now I've booked mine early and its tomorrow! There's a good chance they might turn me away 🤦🏽‍♀️

Goatsdorhone · 17/05/2021 15:27

I've just tried the nhs site again and it's let me book Grin
June '84, SE London
Got an appointment for this Friday at Guys but could have got an earlier one

springhasalmostsprung · 17/05/2021 15:33

Everyone who is booking, are you booking your second dose appointments at the same time?

Eccle80 · 17/05/2021 15:39

Hugo Gye is saying on Twitter it is anyone before 1st july 84 who can officially book from tomorrow if that helps.

For those worrying, I booked a next day appointment the evening before it officially opened to 40 year olds, and no one questioned it when I was there.

RAINSh0wers · 17/05/2021 15:43

Late 84 birthday...guess I’ll be waiting a while longer

I did yep - first week of august
MrsWhites · 17/05/2021 15:46

I miss out by a couple of months...later ‘84 birth here. It’s so frustrating! I must have tried like 10 times today. I wonder why they have only opened to 37 year olds rather than 36-37 year old, doesn’t it usually move in 2 year batches?

SunshineShorts · 17/05/2021 15:48

I’m 36 (June ‘84) and have just been able to book, I’m in the North West

It seems to vary, I think they did 45-49 all together, then 44, 42-43 and 40-41, so they have done a single year before, hopefully it won’t be more than a few days before they lower it again though
TheMotherlode · 17/05/2021 15:52

DH (35) just had the text inviting him to book. I’m 34, 5 months pregnant and hoping I’ll get invited soon.
Like PPs I’m getting increasingly frustrated with the mixed messaging given to pregnant women. We’re told we’re vulnerable and at higher risk of serious illness/ pregnancy complications, but not a priority for vaccination Confused

You have to. If it doesn’t offer you a second appointment your first one won’t have gone through ... despite anything it says on the system.

speaking from painful experience of queuing for mine on Saturday only only to find my appointment didn’t go through despite it confirming

Hurrah just qualified and just booked!
Jenasaurus · 17/05/2021 16:12

My son born in 1989 (aged 31) has been contacted for his Jab so Surrey is working its way through the ages pretty quickly

DJS88 · 17/05/2021 16:13

Just booked for partner, Oct ‘84. SE region.

springhasalmostsprung · 17/05/2021 16:23

Oh annoying. Dh is nov 84 and I'm Oct 85 so guess we have a bit longer to wait.

@EvilPea @Goatsdorhone
So if I choose my first but then the option given for the second one is no good can I go back and change the first?

The system hates me! October 84 still can’t book! Maybe they’ve got pissed off with me checking so often!
RC000 · 17/05/2021 16:51
