Just booked via text from GP - 37 London - so it’s definitely moving!

Bromeliad · 17/05/2021 09:57

It normally drops fast within the groups though. 40+ were group 10, 30+ are group 11. In practice they're doing 5 year subgroups. We're currently in the 35-39 subgroup and a 3 day wait is typical so yes, any longer would be unusual.

Comparing the wait between 40+ and 38 is not a reasonable comparison.

nordica · 17/05/2021 09:58

It has just all been sloooooow since the over 50s were invited.
Someone said on a previous thread it will feel like your turn will never come just before the booking opens for you. That was definitely my experience last week!

Keeping fingers crossed for all you 35+ group that you get to book really soon!

RAINSh0wers · 17/05/2021 10:07

I think it feels longer because almost everyone else I know between 35-38 received invites directly from their GP last week and either had it done at the weekend or has it booked this week!

Eccle80 · 17/05/2021 10:54

I completely get how frustrating it is, it seemed to take forever to drop the ages through the 40s and 40-44 was split into three groups. I am sure it will be soon, I think it is partly to avoid too much pressure on the site.

Thesearmsofmine · 17/05/2021 10:58

It’s frustrating because I feel like DH and I are the only ones we know who haven’t had it yet, people younger have had it yet we are still not eligible. I’ll be 38 later this year.

Same. Everyone I know (35-37 year olds) have been invited by their GP last week and already received their jabs. We've not heard a peep from ours. I'm tempted to phone them and ask but don't want to waste their time. Come on national booking site, open up!

Same!

Honestly a 30 yr old has had hers because she's with the prime vaccine GP surgery and my DH who is 36 and I (35) are still waiting!

sarahin2021 · 17/05/2021 12:13

The site just suddenly worked for me - no text yet. I'm 37.

HeftyOne · 17/05/2021 12:16

DD just had hers. She is 31 but we live near Blackburn.

Watercoloursky · 17/05/2021 12:20

I'm nearly 34, live on the south coast, and my GP texted me this morning to invite me for my first jab... much sooner than I expected, maybe my surgery mainly has older people on their books?

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 17/05/2021 12:27

Just the main NHS book a Covid vaccination link? Agh 36 here. Just tried and still not letting me through
CynsterBitch · 17/05/2021 12:30

The site just worked for me, 37. Booked both my jabs

user1506328491 · 17/05/2021 12:32

Not working for me in LDN- eek! Where are you located if you're having joy? And congrats

user1506328491 · 17/05/2021 12:33

Wonder if it's age? I'm 36 rather than 37?

CynsterBitch · 17/05/2021 12:37

I’m Hampshire, booked in to Madjeski in Reading but it was letting me book London locations like Guy’s and Islington too

YourSexNotGenderIsOnFire · 17/05/2021 12:42

I can't get the site to work for me (35 years old).

sarahin2021 · 17/05/2021 12:51

Yes @BridgetJonesDaiquiri just the main NHS site. Even just an hour or so it wasn't working for me then suddenly I was in, and lots of slots.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 17/05/2021 12:53

Fab I'll keep trying! It might be that it's suddenly allowed '83s in, and '84s will be shortly (clutching straws!)
MrsWhites · 17/05/2021 12:59

I’m 36 - still won’t let me book either.

User1284568195 · 17/05/2021 13:05

I'm 38 and can book online, but only for somewhere several hundred miles away, that would take about 4 hours to drive to. Nothing local at all.

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 17/05/2021 13:13

I'm 32, pregnant and a few weeks off my third trimester, when I'm clinically vulnerable. (Covid has an increased risk of miscarriage)
But everything is opening up, and there's no priority for pregnant women. Just waiting for my age to be called. It's looking pretty unlikely I'd get both doses before the baby comes.

DixonD · 17/05/2021 13:14

@stitchmaker85

I think it was about 10 days between 40+ and 38+??
It was something like that.
Whitewolf2 · 17/05/2021 13:16

Thanks for the updates all, just tried again and have booked - am 37. Didn’t work for my husband who is 36

RC000 · 17/05/2021 13:16

Blimey! I keep trying too! 36 Exeter!
