Am I the only one?

Am I the only one that has had more than enough of the rules and regulations to the point where I just don’t believe it any more?

Yes, you are literally the only one...

BarbaraofSeville · 07/05/2021 15:38

Don't believe what?

You can be fed up of the rules and regs but still believe they need to be in place.

In the UK, we'll probably continue along the road map as planned and be more or less back to 'normal' by 21st June on a domestic level but we might have to put up with significant restrictions on international travel to/from some countries a little while longer.

But, when people come out with the wide eyed 'am I the only one' they rarely are. No-one is that special.

CarrieAntoinette · 07/05/2021 15:38

Yes. The rest of us are thrilled that the government didn't go the New Zealand route.

Who cares about gigs and festivals and normal weddings with hundreds of guests that you haven't had to postpone twice?!

The constant interruption to our children's education is probably character-building for them.

I'm sure they'll always get the job whenever they're up against someone from another country who actually did the full exam year and the exams themselves

And the hundreds of thousands of soulless funerals where you can't pack out the church with mourners, or even even hug the sobbing family are a blessed relief to be honest. Stiff upper lip and all that.

🙄🙄🙄

StillCounting123 · 07/05/2021 15:58

No. I don't believe a word of it, and haven't for some time.

FeatheredHope · 07/05/2021 16:01

I get being fed up of rules but “don’t believe It”? What do you mean? You now think Covid is a myth, or what?

Megan2018 · 07/05/2021 16:04

Yes. Yes you are.

Temp023 · 07/05/2021 16:05

Oh please let this thread die, don’t try to engage with this person for gawd sake.
They can’t even express themselves in a way that makes sense!

CutieBear · 07/05/2021 16:06

The rules just contradict each other. Deaths within 28 days of testing positive are really low now. I think we should go back to normal, but still encourage good hygiene.

Hydrospring · 07/05/2021 16:10

Not a myth, but the rules don’t make sense and haven’t for a long time.

Yes you are ,I just love wearing a mask,I'm sat at home wearing one now I love it so much 🙄🙄

Turquoisesol · 07/05/2021 16:49

I am not sure how you could think you are the only one, if you have spent any time at all on social media/news sites recently.

Suzi888 · 07/05/2021 16:50

@Hydrospring

Not a myth, but the rules don’t make sense and haven’t for a long time.
YANBU I agree with you.
HazeyJaneII · 07/05/2021 16:53

Well if you look at every other bloody thread on Covid and the rules, I think you'll find you are pretty far from being the only one.

mustlovegin · 07/05/2021 17:26

YABU OP. What is it you don't believe exactly?

duffeldaisy · 07/05/2021 17:44

I'm sick of looking both ways when crossing the road. I don't believe in cars or lorries any more.

TruelyWonder · 07/05/2021 17:53

Totally agree don't believe a word. Not a word. They must all be making up rules and regulations in order to control us. I think Whitty is actually one of those lizard men that the bloke who help organise the anti lockdown protest march believes in. He is really in charge and going to jab us until we submit to his secret plan.

Yep, it's terrible making those snotty people keep their germs to themselves, thus preventing them infecting twenty other people each time they cough.(Then extrapolate this out many thousands of times, add in a few plane trips, and you have a lovely pandemic going.)

BlueBlancmange · 08/05/2021 20:22

Is the logical conclusion to feeling fed up with something that you must feel that way because what you're fed up with isn't true then?

TruelyWonder · 08/05/2021 20:35

If you look at the board in the last couple of weeks that could actually be correct 😂
PinkSparklyPussyCat · 08/05/2021 20:38

@x2boys

Well I was asked on here why, if I love him, wouldn’t I wear a mask indoors to protect DH.
