PCR test result delayed/lost

Hi everyone,

We've had a cold/cough so had a PCR test at a walk in centre on Sunday morning and still haven't had the results. Have phoned 119 and they can't tell me anything other than the test has been registered.

Has anyone had to wait this long and actually got a result or should I accept the test has been lost - my DH, DS and were all tested together so seems unlikely to me that 3 tests would go missing. I thought it might be the bank holiday but seems others have had tests returned this week in less than 24h.

DS is only 11 months so reluctant to re-test him unnecessarily but he's supposed to be settling in at nursery this week and they wont let him go without a negative test.
