Time frame for test results

Got tested today (Sunday). Wondering how long the results take in real circumstances. Scotland particularly but any where too

Following because we tested our son today and it would be good to know the average wait time.

I post mine each week and usually receive the result the following day. Occasionally been longer than 24hrs but rarely

Another follower. Got Dd1 tested today and wondering how long it will take.

Also worrying a little bit I didn't do the test right and we will have to re-take. No particular reason really just over thinking. Fingers crossed for us all the results come back quickly.

Hopefully soon we will hear. It was my daughter who is 4 that was tested. She was very very determined not to let us swab her. Eventually with a lot of struggle I got a swab but it also whacked my arm so I’m worried too we didn’t get a good enough swab. I’m sure it isn’t COVID she just has a fever no other symptoms but thought we need to test just in case.

Our test was submitted around 11am.

Our last few tests have come back the next day before 9am

I got my 6 year old tested on Thursday (Gloucestershire) tested at 1.30 pm, we were the only people there, results back at 3am.
So, 13and 1/2 hours. Pretty good!

Got an email at 1am, still no text. She’s negative

Had an email about 5.30. Negative here. Dd had her test around 2.30 yesterday so a quick response.

My txt came through a few minutes ago also.

My text came through at 7am so definitely worth checking emails too.

We've had quicker results each time so far. Today got 5th test for DC, tested at 9:15am, hoping to hear this evening as we did last time. (England).
