The one where you either get your original vaccine or Moderna or Novavax? I'm being jabbed this week. Would be great to hear from others.

I've volunteered but not had an invitation yet.

Yes, I've been accepted and go for my first appointment/ jab tomorrow

Cookerhood · 25/04/2021 13:15

How exciting. My one concern is vaccine certificates. If they won't say what you have had, you can't get a vaccine certificate. I guess I will just have to cough up for a PCR test.

Hi. Not this one but There are loads of us on the novavax trial. I wouldn’t worry too much about vaccine certificate we have been assured it will somehow be sorted out and we will not be at a disadvantage. I don’t think having a mix would effect - in our case we know what we had but not when as we have all had four doses now.
Personally I’m team novavax as quite invested by now but good for you whatever you get!

Anyone else?

Well I was jabbed yesterday. Felt a bit rotten over night & had a fever so I'm wondering if I had a different one to the first time!

I’m not on this trial but the original com-COV trial do have had 2 mystery doses - either 2 AZ, 2 Pfizer or a mixture (hoping I had the mixture). Half of the group had the booster after 5 weeks (me) snd the other half after 12 weeks - they haven’t had theirs yet. I’ve been very impressed with the organisation of the whole trial. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a vaccine passport as hopefully off to Crete in August.

I'm on ComCov trial and had my first vaccine in Feb. Due next in May but of course have no idea which ones. In the updated information they gave me during my last visit for bloods, one of the FAQs was about Vaccine evidence/passports etc. We are told that after our 2nd vaccination we will receive a card which states we've had two jabs. Just won't say which ones.
RoseWineTime · 28/04/2021 22:53

I’ve had both vaccines as part of the com-COV trial and have the card - not sure it would work as a vaccine passport though. I’m sure they will sort something out though as we are not supposed to be disadvantaged.

Yes, I don't think that would work as a vaccine passport - I have one of those, but it could be anyone's, or I could have picked up a handful anywhere. The problem we may have is that ours is an unlicensed use of the vaccine, so no proof yet that it is as protective (I'm sure it will be!).
If necessary I'll just get a negative PCR if I need to, but it's a shame to have to spend the money when actually double vaccinated.

I’m on the Novovax trial and have had two doses of placebo and two of the vaccine. I have a printed A4 certificate style sheet that confirms vaccine status, and they have written to my GP. So I suspect they will have it covered in a similar way for other trials.
