I need this thread!
Had Moderna today, was feeling ok, read some post and the anxiety has risen.
So any positive Moderna comments please?

DBil and DN both had Moderna and didn't really notice it, like the majority of people. Side effects are not obligatory (DB and DMil had another brand and didn't notice either.)

mejon · 20/04/2021 22:06

DH had his first dose of Moderna last Wednesday and hasn't had a single side-effect - not even a sore arm.

CarrieBlue · 20/04/2021 22:21

Arm felt like it was a bit sunburnt, felt a bit tired but could have been end-of-the-week tired. Otherwise, nothing.

MummaPI · 20/04/2021 22:39

Thanks all, glad it was all ok for everyone!

I had moderna yesterday and although I have had an achey arm and have been feeling really run-down and tired and lethargic, I am really glad to be on the path to immunity. I know these physical effects are just part of my body training up my immune system and whilst it is unpleasant, it is way better than getting a bad dose of the actual virus, or than getting a mild/symptomless dose and spreading it unknowingly to others. So yay I am happy but also a bit grumpy and have eaten a bit too much chocolate to help me feel a bit better.

MummaPI · 21/04/2021 09:54

Yes know what you mean, feel like someone has given me a dead arm this morning and a bit tired but otherwise feeling more hopeful today.

Still feeling ok but soooo tired tonight, can barely stay awake!

yep same here - dead arm and really tired but that’s it.

MoonlightFlitwick · 21/04/2021 20:36

I was just shivery and tired the next day. I thought it had affected my sense of taste but that turned out to be a different drug I was taking.

MummaPI · 24/04/2021 07:10

Hows everyone today? I've woken up with a headache and its day 4 after the vaccine. Not sure I should relate the two and trying not to panic about it. Could be a coincidence? Not sure it even applies to Moderna?

Had mine on Thursday. Sore arm which was at its sorest 24 hours later but never sore enough to stop me sleeping etc. Also felt a bit nauseous and tired yesterday but not enough to interfere with my usual routine. Completely fine today and arm much less achy.

captainpantbeard · 24/04/2021 11:42

Had moderna on Wednesday. Was tired for a day or two and my arm only hurt if I tried to lift it. I’m sore under my arm (lymph node so I’ve read) still but that is slowly improving...

MummaPI · 24/04/2021 12:16

Yes I'm nauseous too

Hello can I ask if anyone has had moderna in Hampshire and if so, which venue? Thanks

SendCheese · 24/04/2021 13:36

I had my moderna jab last Sunday, and have also had some nausea on and off. Nothing major, more like when your stomach suddenly lurches, iyswim. Seems to be abating now though. Nausea was one of my main (v mild) symptoms when I had covid, and I was wondering if it was a coincidence so it's interesting to read that others have had it too.

SmallestInTheClass · 24/04/2021 16:56

Felt really exhausted about 12 hours afterwards. Went to bed early then next day just had a sore arm which was a uncomfortable to sleep on but otherwise OK. It was fine after a couple of days.

bordersarebest · 24/04/2021 17:13

@sheeplikessleep as far as I know no where in Hampshire is doing the Moderna at the moment. I live in in Hampshire & oh had his this week at the Madjeski in Reading as we knew they were doing the Moderna there.

Thankyou. I’ve just booked for next Friday. Thanks for posting.

bordersarebest · 24/04/2021 17:44

@sheeplikessleep glad I could help 😀

moostermum · 24/04/2021 19:48

Has anyone developed an eye sty after the moderna vaccine? It could be completely unrelated but DH has a sty. Someone I spoke to got a sty when they had COVID. Just wondered.

WobbleTime · 25/04/2021 10:00

I had Moderna yesterday afternoon and so far have a sore arm, slight headache and diarrhoea this morning. Hoping that’s all!

MummaPI · 25/04/2021 10:18

@moostermum my husband gets styes when he's run down.

I'm day 5 now, feel more human. Can't complain as had nothing major just a few niggling things like fatigue, headache, nausea.

I had Moderna today - how have people been getting on since last week?

Uriahpeep · 28/04/2021 18:59

You do know that asking for only positives is an echo chamber right? Just because you only ask for positives it does not mean the negatives are not real.
