Contacted by App and vaccinated

Does anyone know if the rules have changed about track and trace or bubbles isolating? If you have had both jabs and everyone at work has - and you drive to work, if you are contacted by Track & Trace do you still have to isolate for 10 days? Or can you do daily lateral flow tests? And if you DID test positive does the whole bubble still need to isolate I or do they do daily lateral flow tests?

Yes, you still have to isolate.

There is no difference whatsoever based on vaccination status.

You cannot replace isolation with LFTs

If you're contacted by track and trace after you're fully vaccinated you'd have to ask them what you should do.
There won't be a one size fits all answer, it'd depend on lots of things.

You still have to follow the rules, which haven’t changed.

"Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test result should stay at home and self-isolate immediately. This is because you could pass the infection on to others, even if you don’t have symptoms.

"You could be fined if you do not self-isolate following a notification by NHS Test and Trace.. You may be entitled to a one-off payment of £500 through the NHS Test and Trace Support Payment scheme if you are required to stay at home and self-isolate.

"This guidance still applies even if you have received one or more doses of COVID-19 vaccine"

Yes. That's what I thought. Hopefully the advice will change once more and more have received both vaccinations.

Are they still sending bubbles home from school to isolate if someone tests positive? I didn't think they were.

(These are theoretical questions - just expecting more of my staff to be told to isolate now we are out and about again. You just need to be sat in the same pub garden as 1 person who then tests positive).

As far as I know there's a trial in some schools to replace isolation with lateral flow tests.

If they decide to roll it out to all schools I hope they roll it out to the general public.

I've been working at a vaccination clinic where they have been doing 2nd jabs this week and the vaccinators have been clearly telling the (mainly older) folk that they must continue to stick to the rules in line with the Government road map.

Mindymomo · 18/04/2021 17:07

Nothing has changed, if you get contacted by T&T, due to a positive contact, they will tell you how long you have to isolate for. There is a trial being done at some schools, but not for all children at the moment.

Erm, not really.

I think notification through the app is different to being contacted directly by test and trace. The app does not have the same legal obligations regarding isolation, unless that has changed recently, as it is not mandatory to have the app.
