Any guesses for when the over-35s might be called?

I know it varies depending on location but in general, what do people think?

It's hard to say as it's slowed down a lot recently due to supply issues, most places haven't started on the 40-45 yet.

There's a calculator online that gives you a rough estimate.. For me at 37 it said something like May 15th to June 19th or something. Going on holiday to a lodge the end of May so wss hoping to be done 3 weeks before going but will see

Calculator is useful, thanks! Yes I was hoping sometime in the first half of May, but wasn’t sure if that was optimistic..!

We are a bit ahead in Wales I think. My DH (44) had his jab yesterday and alot of the upper 30s I know (which includes me at 39) had letters last week for vaccines next week so hopefully it won't be much longer for you.

There was a prediction on Twitter this week based on expected supply and the progress so far - from the last week of May based on that. There are further supply issues in May and of course lots of second doses to give.

I'm 38 and it feels like the longest wait at the moment with so many of my friends somehow qualifying early so they are now not worried about anything and getting back to normal...

@Mackers17 oh that’s sounding positive. @nordica this is exactly where I’m at, I feel like DH and I are the only unvaccinated people we know! Absolutely desperate for it! 😂

My guess is the beginning of June at the earliest. It will be interesting to see how many first doses they do over the next couple of weeks and whether over 35s get called up earlier! Supply is constrained in April and they've done just over 100k of first doses over the last couple of days so I think there will be quite a long gap between moving from 40s to 30s.

I knew of 37-38 yos getting the invitation text on Easter Sunday. I'd had mine a few days prior at 40.
My area is doing really well.

ThorFull · 17/04/2021 21:51

They’re on the 35s in wales now.

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 17/04/2021 21:55

30-40s are being called where I am. Wherever you are it shouldn't be too long ☺️

Yes, this! I feel as though I am the only unvaccinated person I know in my age group. Some have received it totally legitimately and others have lied through the unpaid carer provision.
