Pfizer side effect - twitchy eye?!

Had my first pfizer jab a week ago, and ever since my right eyelid has been doing a twitchy thing multiple times a day. I've googled and it doesn't seem to a known side effect - anyone else had this?!

I've got it at the moment in my left eyelid. It'll go away eventually, I've had it before. It can be a stress thing.

I've not been vaccinated.

All kinds of neurological conditions (and much more) have been reported after the jab. See the full listing for Pfizer here ....

Yes it seems all sorts of Ocular reactions are possible. I imagine most clear up quickly by themselves.

My son developed a kind of rapid blinking tick that lasted for 3 or 4 weeks when he got the Flu vaccine (Fluenz) when he was 3 and again when he was 4. We no longer give him the Flu vaccine.

If it’s any reassurance to you, I noticed this and also a similar fluttering feeling on the far left side of my ribs for about 2-3 months sporadically after I had real covid. I caught Covid at the end of last October and had mild symptoms but I haven’t had either twinge for a couple of months now.

Lostinacloud · 16/04/2021 13:54

I don’t know if it was linked as it didn’t happen that often after covid but I hadn’t had it before or since.

radiateforme · 16/04/2021 13:56

Really common. Likely not related. The whole population is being vaccinated and amazingly GPs are overrun with people who think their symptoms of a cold, tiredness, virus etc are due to their vaccines. Sure you will be alright OP

Could be thyroid
B12
Anaemia etc?
Tiredness

Some of those could be affected by covid or vax
