I have lost my vaccine card from my first dose... I can't be the only one can I?! Anyone know what to do?! TIA

I'm not sure it matters that much if you know the date and centre you had the dose they would be able to work out which batch it was.

I have taken a photo of my card today.

GillBungalow · 15/04/2021 11:05

You're not the only one. I put mine in a place so safe even I cannot now find it Confused. Idiot.

I did take a photo of it beforehand though, so when I go for my second I'm just going to ask for another one.

pommedeterre · 15/04/2021 11:21

OO yes, I do have a photo on my camera roll. Thank good for wanting to WhatsApp your life. At least that is some kind of proof and shows the batch.

Thanks all, very glad to know I'm not the only one.

I took my sf for his second dose today. Although I did have his card, the nurse clearly had loads of people in who didn’t have the card. They’ll still vaccinate.

Quackajack · 15/04/2021 11:33

I sometimes work in a vaccine clinic they can get your details up and rewrite your card don't worry.

mustlovegin · 15/04/2021 14:11

Does anyone know if your details will be passed on to your GP if you've not had your vaccine at the surgery (e.g. you've had it a pharmacy for instance - Boots)?

Or do you need to phone your GP up and make sure they record this on your files?

Musicaltheatremum · 15/04/2021 14:22

I'm in Scotland, a GP, We download all vaccines given at the vaccine centres on a daily basis. So if Joe bloggs had the vaccine the day before it will be downloaded into his records the next morning.

lurker101 · 15/04/2021 14:22

@mustlovegin yes - it should be linked to your NHS records. I got my vaccine unexpectedly and when I checked my GP records online the next morning my vaccine was listed on my immunisation history. I was surprised at the efficiency!

mustlovegin · 15/04/2021 16:34

Great! Thanks @lurker101

mustlovegin · 15/04/2021 16:36

@Musicaltheatremum I will call my GP once I've had my second dose to make sure it's on file. I've never accessed them online Blush

I had mine done at a pharmacy and when I looked on my patient access it was on there. So I assume it automatically just gets put on your file.

Can you access the details on the NHS app?

I'm not sure what I've done with my card but I do have all the necessary details on the nhs app on my phone. It comes under Health record - medicines - Acute.

I also know that my GP have all the details on their records too.

ElaborateSalad · 15/04/2021 17:34

I didn't even get one with my first vaccine. When I got one after my second, they made a point of saying that the card wasn't proof that you'd been vaccinated, but more for your own records.

Apparently the information is stored on a central database.

needsahouseboy · 15/04/2021 17:36

I work at a vaccination site..
Yes you will get a new one.
Yes your details and the date and time get sent to your GP.

Is this app different from the nhs test and trace app? I'm another one who has lost her vaccination card, so if I have the info in an app that would be fab!
pommedeterre · 15/04/2021 17:40

I had to ask my gp for a print out of my dd's vaccination history for her school so Ive asked for a print out of mine too. Picking them up tomorrow morning, assuming cv19 one will be on it and will take that to the appointment for second dose!

Yep mines gone awol aswell! We were told to take a pic of it whilst we were waiting for our first vaccine! Must remember to take my nhs number tho!

Zampa · 15/04/2021 17:53

I didn't get a card at either my first or second vaccine appointment. A bit disappointed but it's on my NHS record.

Cookerhood · 15/04/2021 17:57

The card means nothing, it's more of a souvenir really. The details are all on your records. Having said that I just got on the new combination vaccine trial & as part of the screening process I had to upload a photo of it.

I had mine at vaccine centre and it shows on my app.

2nd one tomorrow and this thread has reminded me I need my card. At least I do know where mine is Grin

Cookerhood · 15/04/2021 18:49

It will be there, it is entered straight into the NHS system when you have it done.

tigger1001 · 16/04/2021 06:31

Didn't get a card with batch numbers on it, just the patient information leaflet detailing any potential side effects etc.

Abraxan · 16/04/2021 09:30

Puffthemagicdragon

Yes, it's a different app to the track and trace app.
It's just called NHS iirr. It has your health records on.
I can also see my vaccine on the Patient Access app.

pommedeterre · 16/04/2021 10:13

I got a whole separate page of print out for my CV vaccine this am from my lovely doctors!
