But we do!

Pub garden envy Smile

Didn't book a table, didn't class it as important, kids in school, at clubs, garden meet-ups, all more important of course.

Drove past sunny garden pub yesterday, school run no chance but garden pub envy!

Photo messages (of just a pint) ......a pint in the sunshine......envy!

Oh........Confused

I've just been out for a stroll with DH and we walked past our local. We've not been since last September and to be honest, we'd made our peace with it and have been quite happy to have a drink in the house (we've made a lovely little bar area in our kitchen). But we weren't expecting their outside arrangements to be so lovely - they've turned the whole car park over to outside seating with sofas and fairy lights for when it gets dark and they've turned an outhouse into the bar to negate the need to go inside (they're serving from a hatch). The weather is beautiful, they had a barbecue going, and the sound of happy chatter and the sight of condensationy pints has left us feeling very, very left out Sad

We weren't going to bother but we're booking for next week, when no doubt it'll piss down!

I went for a meal with a couple of friends yesterday - was lovely to see our main indie cafe street alive and buzzing again, after the eerie experience of being there a few weeks ago when everything was deserted and shuttered. There was a bar opposite playing a great music selection, the sun was shining, the waitress seemed over the moon to be back in work, and we ran into some kids from my school who were also enjoying themselves. Didn't even matter that it was freezing!
