WWYD Childcare issue

DD is at school nursery 8:30-11:30. I pick her up Monday and Tuesday. DH works from home Wednesday and Thursday so picks her up and she watches TV or plays by herself till I finish at 3:30. My mum has her on a Friday (childcare bubble).
We have moved house over the holidays and have no internet until the 19th which means DH has to go into the office Thursday and Friday for just one week. His grandparents have offered to have DD on those days but we are already in a childcare bubble with my mum so that would be against the rules. Both grandparents are 2 weeks past 2nd vaccine. I can't take time off as I'm a teacher.

Just take her to her other grandparents. You need childcare.

ReturnfromtheStars · 08/04/2021 08:52

Either use mobile internet for the 2 afternoons or if grandparents are genuinely happy to do childcare let them.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/04/2021 08:53

I used multiple people for childcare. You gotta do what you gotta do.

RosieLemonade · 08/04/2021 08:55

@ReturnfromtheStars they are desperate to have her. They had previously had her every week for a day since I went back to work.

You should check your mum is happy is well with the extra mixing.

You could also see if school nursery would keep her for an extra session (ours quite often could).

RosieLemonade · 08/04/2021 09:04

@usertwice They have no lunchtime provisions sadly so someone would have to take her for lunch and return her.

If all grandparents are vaccinated I don’t see the issue. Bollocks to the rules, just use some basic common sense.

Starlightstarbright1 · 08/04/2021 09:11

I would use grandparents. Assuming all grandparents are happy.
