Weird ear since vaccine

This is going to sound odd and I can’t be sure it started at the same time, but I think it did. Since I got the vaccine I’ve had a strange feeling in my ear. It’s sort of like when you shake your head and there’s water in your ear. Anyone else...? I should probably get it looked at but it’s not there all the time and more of an annoyance than anything else. It’s been a couple of months.

Is there any discharge from ear or does it smell inside the ear. Is the area around the ear painful. Have you got water in the ear, that may have caused a build up of wax and may need clearing.

Blossomplease6 · 08/04/2021 20:54

No, none of those. Normal apart from the occasional feeling I’ve described.

Has your hearing been effected?

UmbilicusProfundus · 08/04/2021 22:59

Did the vaccinator stick their tongue in your ear? Seems as likely as any other vaccine related reason.

The Zoe app people have looked into tinnitus as a side effect of the AZ vaccine. I think they found it affects about 2% of vaccine recipients. Professor Tim Spector mentioned it on one of his recent YouTube updates.

You should only report adverse affects. An wR feeling blocked only part of the time is not a yellow card event.

Blossomplease6 · 09/04/2021 08:20

Hasn’t effected hearing. I don’t really think it’s to do with the vaccine, I don’t see how it could be. Must be a coincidence.

Are you vegan/veggie?
Or anaemic?

Blossomplease6 · 09/04/2021 21:02

Not vegan or veggie. Not anemic that I know of but is a possibility as I’m always on the low side of iron levels
