Have a neighbour who has asked us over several times - finally said yes, as she invited us into her garden. When we got to house, she insisted that we walk through - I went straight out to garden. But then she set everything up on table inside. I kept trying to go outside, and she kept beckoning us in. It was so awkward! She’s had vaccine/so have I - but my DS has very runny nose (I’d warned neighbour and tried to postpone). I just feel rubbish now - like I’m a wimp and I should have stood up for my beliefs.

What will be different on the 12th May? The risk level will still be more or less the same then as it is now.

It's not really about what will be different on May12th. It's more to do with her neighbours pushy behaviours and assumptions

namechangeaga1n · 07/04/2021 15:37

@0gfhty exactly. If I had a certain budget and explained that and we agreed on a restaurant, it's a bit like diverting the taxi to a much higher priced place, smiling and saying "oh, but I went to so much effort to book and everyone will be sooo disappointed if you don't come"! Boundaries. It's then left to the person who has done NOTHING wrong to have another confrontation when actually the boundaries were clear, set and ignored by the other party!

@0gfhty precisely! And yes - @namechangeaga1n
In fact I’ve just watched this about neighbours and it’s made me laugh. I’m clearly Joyce in this scenario.
