Global vaccine rollout

I'm amazed at the job the UK is doing with the vaccine rollout, especially given our appalling death rate since this all began.

One thing that is talked about less is the fact that the pandemic isn't going to be over until the world's population has a high herd immunity and Covid-19 becomes just another illness that we may get and has some decent treatment options.

The Covid visualiser website has been changed to reflect the percentage of the world's population who are fully vaccinated.

We are currently at 4.85% and I'm really looking forward to seeing that number growing, and seeing the rollout of the Covax program globally.

It’s not just vaccines that confer immunity though. It would be better to know the percentage that are immune - after infection or vaccination.

@bumbleymummy, I've been trying to find that data, but couldn't find anything specific. You can see how many people who have had Covid-though lots will be missed from when testing was limited. There isn't a way I can see where it says how many have had Covid and since had the vaccine.

4.97% globally are now fully vaccinated.
