Lateral flow, interpret my result.

NHS worker here and have been doing lateral flow tests since November. Done one after my shift today and got a strange result with no lines on that I can see. I have no symptoms.

If you got no lines, your result is void/inconclusive. You need to test again

Invalid. You need to do a repeat test.

My handbook only says inconclusive is one line next to T.

There’s no line, so I think that means it’s invalid and you need to retest.

Never had one with no lines appear and none of my colleagues have either. Just done another one 🤞🏻

I always watch the liquid go up mine for a minute and check the C line starts to appear (takes about 90s) to check it's valid before going to eat and drink. Either your test was faulty or possibly you had an air bubble so didn't actually add the liquid to the test. Did the test strip turn blue/purple initially before fading to white?

C is the control line, so if there is no line there then the test has failed. You need to repeat it.
