This section of MN will go silent. I was thinking about this the other day, this subject on MN will stop having posts and threads at one point, I hope it is saved somewhere for history to see how it affected people in different ways.

To be honest I cant wait for the day no more threads appear in this topic

Happy Easter :)

That wont happen, even if covid was to go away it'll still be full of the lockdown fanatics suggesting we should lockdown again and that they've a cough and they are 306.2% certain its covid (just like the I'm sure I had covid in 2014 brigade).

Those demanding masks back, those bigging up their 12th wave and dont forget those pissed off that we blindly allowed Vaccine passports to restrict freedom for life.

I sincerely hope not but actually I think you may be right :(

I think this topic has already slowed down quite a lot but it’s got mileage in it. There will still be people interested in tracking its progression alongside vaccine rollouts, people interested in the long term effects as they emerge, people who want to discuss the economic fallout, people who want to follow any new evidence that comes to light about the origins of covid.... it’s a defining moment in history I don’t see it evaporating any time soon.

The Swine Flu board stayed around for several years I think. Not sure when it disappeared.

BlusteryLake · 02/04/2021 16:42

This board is already a much more measured place than it was at first. I had it hidden for well over six months because it was full of paranoia and judgement. It's actually quite useful again now, which is good to see.
