It’s been 10 weeks since my first vaccination. I had it as a spare at the end of the session.
I know that my vaccine is on my medical records as I can check on an app.
I haven’t had an appointment for my second.
Can I ask what gap they’re are giving between vaccinations now ?

11-12 weeks. If it wasn’t automatically booked it means you probably got it from a gp hub. They will pull off lists due a second dose. The recording system is designed to do that.

They then send you the booking invite.

Have you tried booking the second on the nhs website. If not you should ring 119 or gp practice for them to send you a booking invite. Failing that can you call in to where you had your first vaccine, they may have available slots.

I also had mine as a spare in early Feb (I volunteer as a vaccine marshall and there were a few doses left in a open vial at the end of the day). I went on the NHS online booking site a couple of weeks ago and it let me book my 2nd dose for late April.

Failing that, I would contact wherever you had it.

DD (had spare AZ in January) got her 2nd jab notice about a week before it was due. I'm paying £20 for her to go all the way back to term time address to get it

You need to go onto the nhs booking system and book your second. I had a spare a couple of days ago and booked my 2nd 24hours or so later.

I went onto the ‘manage your appointments’ bit and it let me book my second appointment !
