English allowed into Wales - when possible?

As my elderly parents ( over 75) live in one part of the UK and our family in another, I wonder when it is possible to be allowed into Wales? One parent had surgery/treatment for a fairly major illness, which resulted in a dvt/clot on the lungs last year so keen to see how they really are.

We are neither of us near the border.

Covid Q&A: Can people from England go on holiday to Wales? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-56557542

I know it’s not a holiday but there is lots of info on the link, just no firm date

Thank you. No, we are not wanting a holiday. Trying to decide if may get a day visit ( if we both drive and hope the children sleep if we leave at say 4 in the morning!) or if we should assume not this Easter holiday and visit the other elderly relative in the nursing home in England. Do not want to do both, as would rather leave a gap between - hence the dilemma!

Well, yes would love a holiday - but family matter more so no holidays!!

So maybe after 12 April. Will let other sibling know so they can book visit to nursing home relative first, as hard to get slots!
