Sorry if this has been asked before.

Anyone know whether under 5s count in the rule of 6 as of today?

They did when we had the rule of 6 previously, but didn't when we were only allowed to meet one other person outside. I understood that as of today, they were included in the rule of 6, except for in organised parent and toddler type groups. However Holly has just said on This Morning that they don't count in the rule of 6 now.

Anyone know? Any links?

Under 5s do count in the rule of 6. This has been widely misreported by the press (which I find infuriating as it's quite clear in the legislation). The government has now updated the guidance to specifically confirm this www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-coronavirus-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do?priority-taxon=774cee22-d896-44c1-a611-e3109cce8eae#meeting-friends-and-family-outdoors-rule-of-6

Thank you @peaches19 that's very helpful.

Agree it is frustrating that this is being misreported. Matt Hancock was on This Morning not long after Holly said it, so you'd think they'd get it right!
