Oxford Astra-Zeneca - 2nd dose side effects?

Just wondering if anybody has any feedback on side effects after the second dose? DH had his first dose yesterday and has felt so rubbish today that he's not keen on the idea of the second! I would have thought second dose should be better as you're system is better prepared for it, but I'm no expert. Opinions/experiences, please.

I heard Dr Sarah Jarvis in the radio last week saying that the good news is, if you suffered bad side effects op with the first dose, don’t let it put you off getting the second as people are reporting less side effects when they have their second dose.
DH was very bad after his first, he’s due his second in 2 weeks.

From the trial data there were more symptoms with first dose Oxford AZ and second dose Pfizer. No idea why it works out like that. People who've had covid before also seem to get more symptoms.

My mum had her 2nd on Saturday.
She was fluey the day after her 1st and had a sore arm for a few days.
Yesterday she had a sore arm headache and woozy legs (her words), slept from 2.30pm-5pm and then said the headache was gone.

How awful is awful?
I had my 1st yesterday, had a bad night (usually I hit the pillow and I'm out), felt cold and shivery although DP said I was boiling. More achy as the night progressed despite paracetamol and didn't get to sleep until gone 3.30am. At some point I stopped feeling shivery and was hot. I've not moved yet this morning but I feel achy and bit of a headache and my arm is sore.
I'm assuming it will just be a couple of days at most though, and it wouldn't put me off the 2nd jab.
