Vaccine effect on mild illness?

Has anyone seen any information on this? Do we know yet whether the vaccines JUST prevent against serious illness/death (largely, anyway) or do they also help with preventing milder cases with loss of taste/smell and possible long term symptoms?
Maybe that outcome is harder to measure as it wouldn't necessarily be recorded/reported anyway?

I believe AZ swabbed trial participants and found evidence that the vaccine prevents some people from getting infected at all.
