Mid June through mid July first jab being pessimistic.

Have you seen this? If you fill in your details in it estimates a date.

Depends on area? 43 year old (not group 6) colleague just had GP text, booked for weekend.

frozendaisy · 24/03/2021 17:57

Actually maybe earlier if all adults by end of July, no vaccines April that gives
May for 40s first
June 30s
July 18-29s

Approximately

PerditaMacleod · 24/03/2021 17:57

I'm 37 and for me it says 13th-30th April.

The calculator hasn't updated since the announcement to stop appointments for under 40s in April so it's probably not very accurate at the moment.

Optimistically I'm hoping the 40s will get offered theirs in the final week of April and they'll then move onto the 30s early May. The national booking site opened up really quickly to the 50s age groups so hopefully it doesn't take very long to open up once they can move to phase 2 and under 50s.

Although lots of people I know here in SE London in their 40s and late 30s have already been invited so it's a postcode lottery.

starbrightstarlight8888 · 24/03/2021 18:01

I'm 30s and had mine already. No health conditions.

TangerineCandyfloss · 24/03/2021 18:05

I'm 36 and booked in this week. No health conditions.

Laquila · 24/03/2021 18:09

Don't know how accurate that calculator is but it just told me:

Given an uptake of 78.5%, there are between 5,295,798 and 9,710,737 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across England.

A sobering thought!

PerditaMacleod · 24/03/2021 18:14

Yes, but if they're vaccinating 700/800k per day like they were last week, it still won't take that long to do 9m...

Katie517 · 24/03/2021 18:44

People in my area are already being done as some GPS have made their way through the other age groups, my 32 year old friend just had hers no health conditions at all

cinammonbuns · 24/03/2021 18:48

I think all 30’s will be have first jab by end of May.

Laytwir024 · 24/03/2021 19:11

End of May would be a dream!

Ladderclimber · 24/03/2021 21:52

Massively depends on the area you are in. Shouldn’t but does.

JasmineandIsaiah · 24/03/2021 21:54

I'm 32 and they first offered me mine about four weeks ago, I refused and they've tried to get me booked in three more times. I think it completely depends on where you live as to when you get offered them 🤷

bananamonster · 24/03/2021 22:09

Never. They’re waiting for us all to catch covid at work first.

EatingAllThePies · 24/03/2021 22:13

I'm 38 and got an invite the same time as a 48 year old so I think it depends on your GP and your area.

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 24/03/2021 22:16

This.

It would be useful if those in their 30s who've been invited gave their location.

I'm North Yorks, late 30s, had my first jab recently but only because I have a health condition.

noblegreenk · 24/03/2021 22:18

Well I had mine on Saturday and I'm 35. I also have a couple of friends, roughly the same age, who live near me who've had it. Weirdly, my husband hasn't had his yet, he's older than me and uses the same GP surgery. I think it's very dependent on area. My area has a young population so I think they've vaccinated all the older and CEV patients already, as there's not as many.

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 24/03/2021 22:19

GPs in my area haven't finished working through people in their 50s, let alone 30s with no conditions.

IdblowJonSnow · 24/03/2021 22:23

May or June depending on postcode lottery.

Chocolatehabit · 24/03/2021 22:24

My area’s doing 40+ now so probably May?

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 24/03/2021 22:25

IMO, the logical way to deal with differences in demographics would be to increase roll-out capacity in areas with more elderly and CEV, rather than what has been happening. It's outrageous that there are people in their late 50s who haven't been invited yet while 32 year olds are being invited in other areas.

Anecdotally, I understand that London is one area where young people appear to be getting invited for their vaccine. Given the Red Wall votes, you'd think that the current government would be keener than ever to try to dispel the idea that London receives more investment/resources than other areas.

middleager · 24/03/2021 23:09

48 and 47 here in West Mids. No sign of it yet!

Katie517 · 24/03/2021 23:52

As I said I know several people in their 30s no health conditions, in bucks and northants
