Need to get a taxi and panic attacks

Over the last year I've become very anxious over Coronavirus. I haven't been vaccinated yet as I'm not really at greater risk. But today I've got to get a taxi to a hospital appointment and I'm really scared of the risks involved. Being in a taxi obviously I can't keep the right distance between us and is wearing a mask/ opening a window really enough? I've been having panic attacks this afternoon over it all.

Can you speak to a few cab companies and ask what measures they have in place? Might help reassure you

Many taxis have Perspex screens between you and the driver but I would ask the firm you are booking through to confirm that is the case and what other precautions they take so you know in advance. Wear a mask and keep the window open too. Maybe listen to a podcast or download a mindfulness app to listen to prior to and during your journey. I hope it goes well.

If it helps, I've been getting a taxi twice a week since September. I've had no symptoms and no notifications from T&T.

I put my mask on, sit in the back behind the passenger seat and wind the window down. The driver has to wear a mask at this cab company and often has their own window down. No issues.

Ventilation is the major factor.
