Anyone else got a later Easter holiday?

Our school holidays are from 1st - 19th April. Meaning we’ll get some of the outdoor activities/shops from 12th and can go away as a household too. Anyone else?

Same here

ILookAtTheFloor · 23/03/2021 14:19

I know a few boroughs doing this.

I'm jealous. I wanted to go to the zoo when I'm off work.

skeggycaggy · 23/03/2021 14:19

Same here.

PatriciaHolm · 23/03/2021 14:26

Yep - Surrey maintained schools are on those dates.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 23/03/2021 14:30

Yes, same here in Derbyshire. We aren't going away though, there still isn't much open apart from shops so I don't see the point.

palacegirl77 · 23/03/2021 14:30

Yep Sheffield on those dates (non Catholic)

Ilovewillow · 23/03/2021 14:31

Yes same here in Hampshire

Pleasedontputthatthere · 23/03/2021 14:32

Yes and I am in a bubble with my friend who is a single mum so we are going to stay in a house together for the week. I cannot wait!

Lovestonap · 23/03/2021 14:33

Yes in Gloucestershire

middleager · 23/03/2021 14:35

Same here.

Just be happy for the kids to meet up with some friends outside. They are teens, but apart from school, haven't seen anyone outside the home for months.

iMatter · 23/03/2021 14:35

Yes - 1st to 19th here too (Wiltshire school)

middleager · 23/03/2021 14:36

Didn't think these holidays were late though. Am aware of others off earlier, but I thought that was the exception, not the 1st to 19th?

misselphaba · 23/03/2021 14:37

Our school in North London is off until 19th as are schools in neighbouring boroughs. I don't know of any schools that aren't actually.

Abracadabra12345 · 23/03/2021 14:52

Yes and we’ve booked a self contained holiday let for 13th April which is the second week of our Easter holidays. I’m really hoping it can go ahead. It’s awful to be so uncertain

Vanillaradio · 23/03/2021 15:57

Same. However unfortunately dh and I have to book our annual leave in school holidays a year in advance and chose to have the first week offSad! So we'll be going back to work on 12th and ds will be off with his childcare bubble/grandparents doing the fun stuff without us!

sleepwouldbenice · 23/03/2021 16:09

Nope. We cancelled everything we thought we could do

Poppercot · 23/03/2021 16:29

Yes. Got days out with the kids booked plus a self contained weekend away just before they go back. Just hope the roadmap stays on track.

MrsJohnLuther · 23/03/2021 16:55

Yes same here in Hampshire

mswibblewobble · 23/03/2021 17:03

Yes, although dd starts week earlier at different school so can't do much!

Monkeytapper · 23/03/2021 17:03

Leeds is same

catcatasphrophe · 23/03/2021 17:48

Yes, but given the huge amount of A level work DC has been subject to, we will be lucky to get a walk in the countryside in the Easter holidays.

Cloudyrainsham · 23/03/2021 18:01

Yes ours are 1-19. My kids go to schools in different local authorities and they’re both the same thank goodness!

YetAnotherWalk · 23/03/2021 18:30

same here

boymum9 · 23/03/2021 18:39

Yes in Bristol

DrunkenKoala · 23/03/2021 18:40

Yep both of mine are from 1-19.
