Received text from gp this morning saying they are opening up to 40-49 and to call to make booking. My doctors are a nightmare to get through to at the best of times and now they've sent this text out to all 40+ in area its going to be impossible to get through to them (have been trying all day). Would I be able to book through 119? tried online but still saying not eligible. Am so excited as was expecting May time with the delays

I don’t think so no especially as government have said they wont open the under 50s yet
Get calling. They might have a dedicated line for this.
I’m also in my 40s and this is great news

Of course if they just sent the text today they will be bombarded but quite possibly not in a day or two

Your doctors surgery is obviously a little more ahead than most places if they are offering to vaccinate that age group so that’s why you are unable to do it elsewhere. I would just keep calling. Sure you will get through eventually.

If you haven't gotten through online then you won't with 119, as they're basically the phone version of the website

thanks all. got a bit over excited earlier 😂 managed to finally get through on phone and booked in for Wednesday! feel so lucky to have had 'the text', really wasn't expecting it so soon.
