How likely will this be covid?

My partner has three siblings living nearby him and they all visit each other despite the public health guidelines. One of them and thier child now has some cold symptoms that could cross over to covid symptoms. They tested and they are waiting on results now.

How likely will this be covid? The families continue to mix. If it turns out to be covid, chances are my partner will be a close contact then and will have to isolate for 14 days.

I'm worried now in case this turns out to be covid.

It's 10 days isolation not 14
It could just be the cold tbh
How prevalent is covid in your area?

Covid is rising in my area. About 30 cases of covid in my county a day

Only a test will tell. Covid symptoms can be just the same as a mild cold.

Hopefully results will be back today

There's no results back yet but I think there is potential this might be covid.

I am experiencing a weird thing this morning. One arm as if its a flu type of ache. Usually when I get a bug or flu body aches are back and neck and legs. I have a similar type of feel in my arm. Just sore and heavy with a weak feeling. I don't have any other symptoms. Just a sore arm. And it's just come on now.

I was vaccinated with two doses several weeks ago. I'm not overly concerned about covid for myself now but I don't want to catch it and spread it on to other people. This is my biggest concern is spreading it onto others. I don't have any other symptoms.

I met my partner on Sunday and we met outdoors for a walk. We never shared an indoors space. We did kiss but it was a quick one. He wasnt showing signs of illness or sickness.

How likely is it that if he was in the incubation phase of the virus that he would pass it onto me and for me to show an aching piece of body within 48 hours of meeting.

The nocebo effect OP, do be wary of it.

I was exposed to Covid, convinced myself I had it, nope was negative. As soon as the results came through I felt fine!
