Waiting for delivery of a home test.. anyone recently done a home PCR test that can tell me turnaround for delivery to results?

I'm hoping it's quicker than it was last spring / summer..

I tested dd at a drive through centres yesterday morning, result came through at 10pm last night.
The last home kit I had, posted on day 1, result came first thing in the morning on day 3.

Seems to be pretty quick now. Although I do wonder if it's quicker because when I requested the test, it asked about whether I was a key worker or any one in the house was at school or nursery or worked in one.

I ordered yesterday 9am it's arriving today.

RevolvingPivot · 21/03/2021 08:47

They have just arrived so exactly 24 hours.

@RevolvingPivot

What time did you post it off yesterday? We posted for a 3pm pick up and hopefully I will get the results today.

Oh no sorry I ordered the test yesterday morning. The rest arrived this morning.

I've not done it yet.

Ok so I ordered our home test at 4.20pm yesterday and it's just arrived now, which is much quicker than I thought. Going to get it to a priority post box for collection today and hopefully have results tomorrow.

I did one on Wednesday and posted it at 5pm. Got the result text about 5pm the next day. Very speedy.

DS and DD2 were invited to take PCR tests as part of a survey. We got the tests and arranged for the courier the next day to pick them up then we got the results the day after. Back in June DH had the same invite. His took a week or so. Definitely faster now.

Not sure if these survey ones are sent to a different lab though.

Just got my DD’s results!

Ordered 7pm Friday evening, arrived Saturday lunch time. Was posted out for a 3pm pick up...results at 11am. So pretty quick!

Negative too, phew. So no school day’s missed.

Has anyone else had a problem logging the tests on the gov portal? We've entered the details to register the test but it keeps going to a blank screen rather than a confirmation! I'm hoping we can register the test otherwise I'm not sure we'll get the results Sad

We've posted it off now, but taken a screen shot of the code on the pack to keep trying.

Just to update incase anyone else has the problem with registering, we managed to register it via 119 instead of online.
