Ballsed up a home test

I sent off a postal test yesterday not realising I needed to register it online, tried to register it today and can't complete it as I haven't got the Royal Mail tracking number to scan, as I've obviously posted it. Will they still be able to contact me with the result do you think??

Give 119 a call and see if they can help

Nope. I did the same and they couldn’t help. You’ll have to do another.

Just spoke to 119 (sorry should have done that prior to posting!) and he said it's fine the barcode on the test is still associated with my contact details so I will be contacted (so why register the tests then?!) I have a copy of our test bar code so assuming I can call up with that after 48 hours if I haven't heard?

I believe it's 5 days then you can chase, I had a test a couple of weeks ago and it was less than 24 hours and anyone else I know it s been 48 hours or less so I wouldn't worry about it being that long

My adult son has done 2 home tests and both times he didn’t register them, but he got texts and emails through with the results, both negative, thankfully.

I registered using the tracking code on the package it arrived in as had done the same thing and already posted it, and it accepted it, even though it wasn't the right one, I got the results back fine
