Nose burn!

I had my fist jab in January but still managed to contract Covid 2 weeks ago. Very mild symptoms, probably due to that vaccine thank heavens as I’m on the shielding list.

But I was curious, does anyone else have like a ‘burning’ sensation at the top of their nose??? It’s not painful as such but uncomfortable and truly irritating!

That'll be hayfever 👍🏻

Tree pollen hay fever?

OliveTree75 · 20/03/2021 08:04

I tested positive a fortnight ago. Very mild symptoms. My nose burned the day my sense of smell went and it burned yesterday when it came back

JamesAnderson · 20/03/2021 08:12

Try taking an antihistamine to see if it goes. Then you'll know whether it's hay fever or covid

Apparently the alder pollen is particularly bad this year

Yes I was complaining to my DH about this last night. I lost my sense of smell and though its coming back now can still feel a burn at the top of the nose. The virus inflames the receptors in the nose so makes complete sense.

Lindy2 · 20/03/2021 09:18

Yes. I had this and then I lost my sense of smell. Luckily it came back after 4 or 5 days. 2 months on my nose still feels sensitive. Air feels much colder than it use to.

XiCi · 20/03/2021 09:40

I'm the same Lindy, air feels colder, its hard to explain. I imagine its only people who lost their sense of smell that will experience this. Its definitely not pollen or hayfever

Mine is starting to flare up now - itchy eyes and throat and bunged up nose. It eases when I take antihistamines so I'm not worried it's anything else (and I get it this time of year every year anyway) but I'm still worrying what other people will think!
