Dizziness after vaccine

I had my first dose of AZ on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday evening I was feeling a bit ropey, then pretty horrible flu like symptoms yesterday. Today I'm still feeling pretty rubbish, very tired but less achy than yesterday. Since this morning though I've been feeling dizzy and it's worse when I'm lying down or close my eyes. Slight headache but it's just a lingering one from Wednesday I think (I don't know if it's connected to the vaccine as I had a migraine when I went but I wasn't missing it for anything!). My migraines can last a few days but dizziness isn't usually an issue with them.

Dizziness is listed as an uncommon side effect in the leaflet but would it come on 48 hours after the vaccine? Has anyone else experienced this?

I did. It was on and off for about 24 hours. Felt ok otherwise though, just a bit flushed of face.

Use it as a good excuse to lay down and do naff all for the next day or so!

I was light headed for 24hrs and then on and off light headed for a week but then things improved. I think from memory being light headed is a common side effect.

Yes, that evening I was tired and had the chills - just couldn't get warm. During the night I developed a terrible headache and when I woke up I was dizzy and nauseous for the whole of the next day. The day after that it went and I felt much better, but still had a bit of a "ghost" headache. The dizziness and nausea came back on day 4 with a vengeance and lasted another whole day. It was proper grim.

Thanks all.

I gave up and went to bed at about 8pm last night and slept right through until 6am. I woke up feeling absolutely fine apart from sort of slightly stunned, the way you do after you've been ill and got better. It was all the weirdest thing, like proper full on flu condensed into three days.

Reassuring to know I wasn't the only one who felt like this - hopefully anyone else feeling ropey will come across this and feel similarly reassured. Hope everyone's ok now and that our second doses are a bit easier!
