As Moderna doses due to be delivered in April.

Given the production facilities of the AZ in the UK, by April we are likely to be getting 2m AZ a week, 1m PB a week and maybe 1m Ma a week, allowing us to deliver 500,000 a day first jab and 500,000 2nd jabs per week.

I had the A Z earlier today and so far no effects, ill or otherwise ☺

Where have you got those figures from mintjulia? As it seems to be the opposite of what we're being told about the huge delays to vaccine deliveries in April...

OP, I read the Moderna is unfortunately delayed too but fingers crossed!

Whattodoffs · 19/03/2021 14:23

I'm 48 and had the Oxford one on Tuesday (although this doesn't help as it's before supplies are due to run out) x

I am just wondering if the aim is to offer/get all groups 1-9 at least first jabbed by 15th April, and Moderna turns up after that, does that mean the other groups, some at least, will get Moderna.

Quite like the sound of Moderna but clear don't care which jab.

I quite like the sound of Moderna too. But I’ll take any of them!

LacyEdge · 19/03/2021 14:31

Hope so. I’d like a Moderna too. But will of course accept any.

Does anyone know if Moderna is considered fine for anaphylactic allergy sufferers? I think people with Epipens are getting it in the US, but the rules seem to vary between here and there.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/03/2021 14:50

I'm 30 and wondering if I might get Moderna. Not sure how long the delay is.

Frownette · 19/03/2021 14:51

Those of you interested in Moderna, why is that?

MarshaBradyo · 19/03/2021 14:53

I wouldn’t mind it

But I’ll take any

nordica · 19/03/2021 15:32

I think it's definitely a possibility as they obviously won't be able to use the Moderna for 2nd jabs, so anyone getting their 1st whenever Moderna is available could get it instead.

As far as I understand it's quite similar to Pfizer but doesn't need to be stored quite as cold so possibly easier to distribute.

I think it might be more effective against variants which would hopefully transpire to not needing another round of jabs for a while.

And it's new technology and I quite like the cyborg possibility!

I'm 48 also, but no Vaccination yet. Will happily take any one!
Realitea · 19/03/2021 16:22

I was thinking the same thing today. I’m hoping to get moderna but will be very happy and relieved to be offered any
