Once you’ve had both your jabs, what are you going to do with the bit of paper confirming you’ve had it?

I might have mine recreated as a fabric badge and sew it to my swimming costume.

Keep it safe somewhere then probably lose it because the safe place is too safe!

MolyHolyGuacamole · 18/03/2021 16:15

I'm currently keeping it with my passport. Definitely not getting rid of it!

Photo & laminate?

joanna67 · 19/03/2021 07:27

Nothing - it's only a bit of cardboard with something written on it in biro. Anyone could write one, it doesn't prove anything. It certainly isn't a vaccine passport. My vaccine shows on the Patient Access app on my phone which seems more important.

Flaxmeadow · 19/03/2021 08:01

I didnt get anything, card or leaflet, and I don't know anyone else who has.

PuzzledObserver · 19/03/2021 08:14

DH had his second jab yesterday and was told to keep his card as it is the only proof he has. I’m not sure that’s true, because I believe it’s logged on the system and will appear on his GP records. Plus as pp noted, it could easily be forged.

Anyway, he has put it in his wallet with his driving licence.

Violetlavenders · 19/03/2021 08:22

It's recorded on people's NHS records.

Everyone should have a little card with name, what vaccine they had and the batch number.

I'm currently keeping mine in my phone case as I won't loose it there, I hope!

Yugi · 19/03/2021 10:34

The NHS app shows that I’ve had the first dose (and all my other medications). I don’t know if it would be accepted as proof though.

JorisBonson · 19/03/2021 10:35

I'm going to blow it up to the size of a flag and hang it out my front window.

Bordois · 19/03/2021 11:12

Why do we need to carry proof when they can just scan our chips now?

ragged · 19/03/2021 11:34

Is that Patient Access App integrated with NHS?

Is there a way to have an app on the phone that is validated as proof of Covid passport?

ragged · 19/03/2021 11:57

And related to that, if some leisure operators are insisting on full vaccination for customers - what are they accepting as proof? Not merely scraps of paper, right?

Flaxmeadow · 19/03/2021 13:29

Not here (England). We didn't get anything at all.

Strange, I am in England and everyone I know has the card.
WouldstrokeTomHardy · 19/03/2021 13:41

But checked my go record via the patient access app. Mine ha been recorded. Only had it on Monday

bellagogosdead · 19/03/2021 13:44

Dh has a little card and some leaflets, also England.
I am just a young thing, so have not been ' done' Grin

Flaxmeadow · 19/03/2021 13:54

I'm in the North of England Grt Man/West Yorks area. We are really ahead with vaccinations. Maybe that's why we are ahead Grin

It took less than 5 mins. Asked name and if we had any allergies, then left straight away out of a different door. I dont know anyone who got an card or leaflet

ragged · 20/03/2021 06:21

So the vaccine passport thing is a non-starter? If almost no one has a way to prove they got the jab???

PhilCornwall1 · 20/03/2021 07:16

I had my first one 5 weeks ago at the GP surgery and they've fucked it right up. They have no record of me having it done and I've now had multiple calls from them inviting me for my first vaccine.

When first told I've had it, I was asked "are you sure, how do you know?". Well the fact I have a card with the date, batch number and which one it was might make me sure, what makes me 100% sure is travelling to the surgery and having the bloody needle put in my arm!!

They seem totally incapable of sorting this out as they just say they have no record of it and just call to invite me for my first one.

Totally done with it.

NoMoreLimbo · 20/03/2021 07:40

@joanna67 & @WouldstrokeTomHardy is that the actual app called ‘patient access’? I’m confused over which app to download as there is a ‘NHS’ app as well.

bebarkered · 20/03/2021 07:49

I'm in the North West (UK) and the nurse gave me a card. Said keep in purse or wallet

HeronLanyon · 20/03/2021 07:51

I have my first jab card but honestly it would be the very easiest thing to forge so I can’t begin to imagine anyone anywhere would accept it as proof for anything (other than second jab arrangements which need to know which you’ve had - guessing they will accept you telling them using this as a reminder if you’ve forgotten).
Our nhs record will show our vaccination history.
Even thkigh told there was no need to have my nhs no at the vaccine appointment I took it and was asked whether ‘I happened to have it’ Booker in entered it on tablet so it felt as though the connection to my nhs no hadn’t filtered through all levels ???
I would for sure take it if having vaccine peeps. Just in case and if you have access to it easily (ie don’t bother your gp surgery!).

joanna67 · 20/03/2021 07:52

The one I use is called Patient Access. In non covid times I use it book GP appointments (not currently available at my practice) and I can see my current medication and the details of my vaccine on there.
