I had the Oxford jab at 3pm today. Feel ok apart from a sore arm, but have started to have heart palpitations. Can't find anything online or in the leaflet given.
Anyone had this before?

Hope you're ok My husband and daughter both had temperature and felt faint and had flu symptoms for a few days. They didn't have palpitations have you got a help line you can call. Hope you're not on your own.

If you've still got them tomorrow morning, or you start to feel dizzy, short of breath, or experience chest pain, then contact your GP.

Most of the time, palpitations are harmless - in this case could easily be simply down to how you feel about finally getting vaccinated.

Thankyou both. I'll wait until tomorrow. My chat feels so strange and I feel 'abit not with it' but so glad I've have my first vaccine!

There is a link halfway down this thread about palpitations after AZ

But do report it to keep figures accurate

I mean head not chat in my last comment!
Thanks all. Heart palpitations have stopped. I do believe it was due to me feeling anxious.
Feel pretty rough though today and all did all through the night.
But I guess that means it's working?!

I’m 24 hours ahead of you. I felt shocking yesterday, fever, flu like symptoms, chills and a fast pulse. Was quite ‘spaced out’ at times and was taking paracetamol every 5 hours.
Temperature started to calm down as I went to bed last night and today I feel 90% better, still tired and arm a bit sore.
It’s not fun but the side effects soon pass and I don’t regret having it.
Hopefully you’ll be fine by the morning Smile

I had the AZ vaccine on 9 March and I now have mild heart palpitations. I have suffered from them previously so had not put two and two together, but did remark to DH that they had come back, having not had them for a few years. Of course, it may not be connected.

The same document mentioned in the other thread shows that heart palpitations continue to be reported - 1,318 reports as of 16 March.

It's one of the less common side effects, but certainly enough reports that it's very likely to have been caused by the vaccine. It's good to report it using the yellow card scheme or via your GP if you can. Hope you feel better soon, and talk with a GP if not.

Yes, my mother (aged 66) had heart palpitations and a headache about 12 hours after getting the jab. I'm due my first jab tomorrow and honestly I'm pretty anxious! Glad to hear your palpitations have stopped!
