Vaccine side-effects and colds

I read recently about a possible link between people's reaction to colds being similar to the vaccine - i.e. those who regularly suffer worse colds than their peers, being more likely to experience stronger side effects and vice-versa.

This makes sense because all of the cold symptoms are caused by our immune system's response to the virus, not the virus itself.

So does that hold up with people's experience of the vaccine?

I get pretty bad colds and have had hardly any side effects to the vaccine, other than a weird dream that night and a sore arm

Not for me.

I was a little bit tired and had headaches for a couple of days after the vaccine. I have colds that absolutely floor me and give me aches and pains that make me feel I have been in a car crash along with dizziness, nausea, headaches and fatigue.
