Booking your second dose online

I've had my first dose through my GP and keep getting notifications that I can book a vaccine myself, it says "including your second dose". I could book online (I'm a carer) at a point that would be just right for my second dose. I have no idea if I'm supposed/allowed to do this. DH is CEV so same applies to him.

I had mine done at the GP - they called me direct. When I had the first does they said they would ring me again for my second.

I had to book my mum's online at a mass vaccination centre. You automatically had to book both at the same time. There wasn't an option to only book one.

Can you ring your GP for advice?

It's quite hard to get through to the GP and the message does say "don't ring for vaccination advice".

I would wait, though it is tempting to book online. There is no guarantee of getting the same type of vaccine if you book your second one elsewhere.
