Group 6 appointment booking confusion

So I'm group 6 and had my 1st vaccine 2 weeks ago, had a text message from gp surgery with a link to book test
Wasn't able to book 2nd vaccine through link at the same time though
Asked when I was at vaccine centre and they couldn't tell me about booking my 2nd vaccine.
Does anyone know if I need to book it somehow or is it that I will get another message from gp surgery nearer the time?
I did call gp but before you get to speak to anyone there is an answer phone message saying please don't call regarding the vaccine as they can't tell you anything

You can’t book the second jab if you’re called through the GP service, they’ll message you again nearer the time to book your second

Are you in England? If so, use the NHS England booking link to enter your details, your records should be updated to show that you’ve had your first dose and it should ask you to book your second dose, that’s how mine was booked.

I tried the nhs site and a week ago it said I wasn't eligible to book even though I have already had my 1st vaccine
Yes called 119 and the woman I spoke to said they aren't dealing with the pzifer vaccine so they couldn't tell me anything.
Was just worried I may have missed something and should have booked my 2nd vaccine
Looks like my gp surgery will update me when my next one is due

And that’s precisely why I turned down my gps vaccination and opted for the national system

They could have done mine last week but couldn’t tell me when my second would be only that I might have 24 hours notice. This doesn’t work for me and my job. So I chose the online national one as it allows me to schedule both at once.

I booked through the GP system. Could only book the first appointment- it was very clear they would contact me again to book the 2nd appointment nearer the time.

GP here - we'll be inviting people for the second dose in the same way we invited for the first dose. Everyone who had a first dose with us already has an allocated second dose so it's better to have the second with the same service who have the first. We don't tend to know what we're getting until a week or two before so are unable to book 10/12 weeks in advance.

I was told second appointment would arrive the same as my first which was a letter.

I had my first at the gp (Oxford AZ) but the timescale for them to do my second is 13 weeks according to the vaccination card. I’m not happy with this so I was able to book my second at the main vaccine hub (11 weeks gap) which I am happier with.

Our GP books you in for the 2nd when you attend for the 1st. But it’s a very straightforward, come back at the same time in 11 weeks.

Our GP surgery has been putting out weekly updates on facebook and says those who were contacted by them to book for the first dose will be contacted again in due course for the second.

I was told at my GP’s they will book me in for my second closer to the time. Also group 6.

I also had my first jab via the GP system and at the moment I'm booked for my second on a day I know I can't do because of work commitments. I rang to try and change it, but they said they only work 1 week ahead so I will have to wait until much nearer the time. So I think you'll get a contact a week or so before with options to book your second jab.
