Vaccine question

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone could give me advice about the vaccine. I got a letter about 3 weeks ago telling me to book my appointment online for my vaccine- I'm a carer for my grandad who has numerous heart troubles, fibrosis on the lungs etc and has recently been diagnosed with cancer - I have tried a few times a day every day since getting the letter and the only place they will let me get my vaccine is about 3-4 hours away!! I don't drive and wouldn't risk getting public transport due to putting my grandad at risk. I rang my doctors and the receptionist was very rude, basically said what do you want me to do about it & that I can't get one with my gp as they're only doing over 50's.. has anyone else had this trouble? I don't know what to do

Just keep trying online as they open up new slots all the time and you will find one nearer.

I believe they all for a postcode of where you want to have your jab.
I put a different nearby postcode in there to get different locations to come up.

3-4 hours away is ridiculous. I don't blame you for not wanting to get public transport as you might catch covid. Hope you get something soon.

Try putting in another postcode within 5 miles of where you are. That’s what I did when booking for my brother who lives 2 miles away from me. Nothing near was coming up when I put in his postcode, but when I put in mine, he got offered a pharmacy about 6 miles away (20 minutes).

@JamesAnderson @Mindymomo Thank you :) I've been putting different postcodes in and nothing yet but hopefully soon something will pop up! I didn't even know you could put different postcodes in haha 😆

@PrimulaAuricula Thank you yeah public transport isn't worth the risk at all
