Does it matter if you don't log negative results on the system? I know it's part of the statistics but I hate wasting my time logging a negative result.

Yes, you need to log every result. It's only 5 minutes a test.

I don’t think anything will ‘happen’ if you don’t.
My experience is with the ‘households of those in school’ tests and it is part of the process you sign up to when you request them, so I think it’s reasonable to expect to take the extra couple of minutes to log results really. I was surprised the ordering system wasn’t linked to the results system, the next box is sent out once you've logged your 5th result for example, but for whatever reason that’s not happening.

I didn't request them. I'm a teacher so do them to ensure safety. However I'm completely done in emotionally and have no energy left. Logging the negative results just seems like the straw that broke the camel's back despite it seeming like a tiny task iyswim.

I log mine (both on the official site then on the school site) but I totally understand why you feel this way Flowers

Can you flip it, instead of being something using your already depleted energy, it's a positive, every negative test you upload is another few days where you've been able to see the pupils face to face, and keep yourself safe?

I think if people don't report negative results, it'll skew the statistics for percentage of positive tests, and I know that figure is one we at least use in Scotland to justify lifting restrictions.

I also do them twice a week as a teacher...
Have you registered with the NHS? I can log my result with my school and with the NHS now in less than 2 minutes since they introduced that. Scanning the QR code is so much quicker now too rather than trying to see the tiny letters/numbers!
I sympathise with you though, it is just another thing to add to the long list of things you have to do...

EachDubh · 15/03/2021 07:19

I have saved the page so it takes a min at tops to log result. Think of every negative result as a we can keep face to face teaching.

SillyBub · 15/03/2021 07:24

YABU. You've agreed to log your results by accepting the test kit.

I've just logged mine now (school staff). I have an account and it takes less than a minute.
