DH and approaching operation

DH was due an operation last month, but his pre op tests picked up covid (no symptoms at that point), the rest of our family also got it.

His operation was rescheduled for 3 weeks later but he was still too unwell to go, so it was rescheduled again.

I have said I think that for the 10 days before he should stay elsewhere (he could stay in our caravan which is not far from here at his parents house, or with his parents who are both vaccinated, as is he now). I work in a school, both DS's are at school so in my mind the likelihood of one of us having to isolate around that time is reasonably high, I assume in that case they won't go ahead. DH thinks this is OTT.

Thoughts?

If you’ve all had covid recently, then there’s no point him living elsewhere.

See I thought that, but if we get told to isolate will that mean the hospital won't go ahead!? He won't get an isolating notice as he's not out anyway, but we will be

He can't be Covid tested for 3 months anyway as it will still come back positive.
