Vaccination invitation

Today I received a COVID vaccination invitation which I initially thought was fake. I’m 32 I do have a lifelong medical condition but it isn’t listed as one of thier high risk medical issues. The message stated my name, where I was to go for it ( which was the dedicated place in my area) but the contact it came from didn’t match that listed on the government website, it was very similar though. I was search the contact and number given online and they didn’t show up anything. So DP told me the worst you can do is try book it and it won’t let you if it wasn’t real. So I managed to book both tests. I thought for sure DP would be first as he has asthma. He tried and they declined him so I guess the message was real. Anyone else have the same issue.

As group 6 is coding there are going to be differences depending on your surgery. I know a few people who have been called who were not expecting it and some who thought they were group 6 who have not been called.

Your GP will have gone through all patients and decided who gets the vaccine invite and perhaps your condition flagged up that you should get vaccine. If you were not eligible you wouldn’t have been able to book.
