Negative PCR results

I had 2 symptoms and generally felt unwell so isolated and tested. My results are negative. I still feel unwell and will continue to isolate until my fever subsides for at least 48hrs as per guidelines.

Young DC started with the same symptoms as me but 3 days later. DC hasn't been tested. I was convinced I had covid so DC would be positive too.

Now I'm doubting myself, but whatever bug I've got he's got, right? DC hasn't been anywhere different to me, we are glued at the hip!

What symptoms did you have? My DP had fever and fatigue, no other symptoms. He has antibodies now, despite a negative PCR test at the time.

Yeah I had a moderate fever, 37.8 and a cough (not continuous), felt tired and generally unwell. My DC is the same but much more energy than me!

Yep, but there are a lot of bugs that aren't Covid.

Both my kids have had fevers, coughs & snotty noses this weekend. Both grumpy & tired & feeling rubbish. Both negative as was I who only has a minor cough so far. Not surprised as we all had covid back in December with almost identical symptoms to be honest.

Other illnesses are still going round.

Am I overthinking this? If I'm negative, surely DC would be negative?

Other bugs must still be doing the rounds. Goodness where we have caught this from as we barely go anywhere! I suppose our immune systems probably aren't as strong as what they were 12 months ago as we aren't exposed to much.
